ZSM-HUZ PZ
Pneumatically Operated Stroke Limiter for HUZ Single Stroke Pull Gripper
HUZ Pull Gripper are used for de-molding plastic parts from the cavity side of a mold. HUZ Gripper are available as single stroking or double stroking versions. The ZSM converts a single stroking HUZ into a double stroking gripper. The advantage for using a ZSM instead a double stroking gripper are less weight, more compact and less cost.
The ZSM limits the full stroke of the HUZ and adds a working stroke which is adjustable in 12.5 mm increments. It is plumbed into the gripper close air circuit.
Sequence of operation:

HUZ is fully retracted and gripper jaws + ZSM are open
-
HUZ is extended and gripper jaws + ZSM are closed
-
HUZ retracts and hits the ZSM bumpers (stroke is limited)
-
After part is de-molded HUZ extends to prevent deforming of the part
-
HUZ jaws are open to release the part and ZSM is open (spring return)
