Holding without active vacuum generation
The HS suction cup is the newest solution for handling tasks on closed substrate surfaces. The patented solution is a system without compressed air or a vacuum generator, meaning a system without energy-intensive air consumption! A suction cup is combined with a valve device that seals without the use of electrical current or compressed air to create a “suction” effect. An electrical impulse is used to release the suction effect again. Possible applications include integration into our robot hand kit, for example for use in gripping transfer stations, on workpiece carriers in circulation systems with the advantage of media retention, and even use on industrial robots and Cobots. Furthermore, classic applications in the field of demolding and product handling for spatial movement and positioning of components are also possible.
Sequence of operation:
  1. Vacuum cup is pushed onto the non-porous surface
  2. Robot lifts the AVG up
  3. The vacuum switch generates a part present signal
  4. The vacuum release valve is actuated and the part drops
